A little about Michele....

I live for winter! Skiing the Rocky Mountains after a big storm is a dream come true.

I'm not only a skier, but an avid runner, biker, and hiker as well. I run and bike competively, participating in Duathlons and Half Marathons.

Dark chocolate and a glass of red wine is truly a fantastic combination.

I received a B.S in Space Science and an M.S. in Space Systems while living in Florida. I originally wanted to be an astronaut!

I have a truly amazing husband who supports me in anyway possible.

I gave birth to our first baby in Jan of 2012 and he is my pride and joy.

We moved to Colorado in 2010 and never plan on leaving. It has to be one of the best states to live in.

Lastly, I LOVE photography! I love the emotions one picture can convey. I love the feelings that one picture can bring out in a person. More than that, I love capturing those moments for other people and putting a smile on someones face.

As a little girl growing up on the east coast in the state of Maryland, I always had a tremendous interest in photography. One year (probably about the age of 7) I received a check from my grandfather for my birthday. My mom asked me what I would like to do with it and my answer was to buy a camera. That was my first 35mm camera and I took it where ever I went. My love for photography never died, but it wasn't until I finished college and moved to California that I truly learned about the art of photography. I was so amazed by the wonderful west coat scenery and was totally inspired to enhance my photography skills. I have a very strong passion for what I do.

I consider myself an on location modern lifestyle photographer. My style is natural and photojournalistic. Michele Schanker Photography is located in Thornton, CO and travels to Maryland and Florida for weddings. Contact us for more information. I am a custom photorapher and believe in customizing each session that I do. I provide a questionaire to each booking client to ensure I nail the shoot with the types of pictures that you are looking for.
